NCAA Football and Concussions. Yeah, its worse than you think.

The NCAA does not publish records of the concussions in its various participating institutions. These records are kept by athletic trainers through the NCAA's Injury Surveillance Program at the Datalys Center for Sports Injury Research and Prevention. But they simply are not available to the public in a meaningful fashion. 60 college programs or about one-half of the 126 football bowl subdivision NCAA Division I schools did not publicly report their concussions. Despite this fact, there are sources that can be tracked, (Bella, America Tonight). What follows are a lot of numbers. This article focuses on a seasonal report of concussions at the collegiate level. Larger conferences also provide an approximate number of concussions per season. So let's start there.
